Hello everyone,

Just a note to let everyone know about some R-SPEC business. I took over as president of the group back in February, just as I started a new job and career. Unfortunately, the job demanded much more of my time than I was expecting, and as a result I haven't been performing as president the way this group deserves. I recently learned that even more of my time and more travel will be required for the foreseeable future, so I have little choice but to step aside as president. Alicia, who was an outstanding president for two years and is now vice president, will step into the role and fulfill the duties. I will remain in charge of publicity.

I'm truly sorry that I couldn't give what this great group of people deserves, but I know that Alicia will. Since she is also quite busy, I ask everyone to do what they can to help her out. We have a book launch coming up, and we'll need all hands on deck. Please do reach out to Alicia to ask what you can do to help, both for the upcoming projects and the regular tasks of running the group and the meetings.

Thank you Alicia! And to everyone - write well!

I'd like to thank Jonathan for being willing to take on the job just
as he was launching into a new career at a demanding start-up company
and thank him for staying on the board as Marketing/Publicity Officer,
even though he has little time. We still need you, Jonathan!
I'll be Acting President until the board can meet in August or
September.
