Good evening,
I was wondering if there is some method to deal with this high number of hyperparameters in INLA without loss of computational speed.
I have a hierarchical data structure like this:
3 years of observation;
50- US state;
2879- county

Thanks in advance.
Lorenzo.

This tells nothing about the number of hyperparameters. If you have three model terms, each with two parameters, and one in the likelihood that's 7. Do you have more?
