Probably the best way to introduce Synergetics is as a "private language".

The reasons for this are several, not the least of which is to connect
to the Private Sky language of Continental exhibitors. The microcosm
- macrocosm dichotomy characteristic of Elizabethan alchemy /
architecture is easy to find in the text and matches up with the
ancient theme of a Noosphere and our interconnections within a kind of
share metaphysical bubble. We were led to this same doorstep by
Applewhite / Goldstein (DeVarco) in the form of 'Eureka!' by Poe.
Paul Laffoley (painter) provides many bridges twixt Poe and the gothic
tradition, and the more jovial transcendentalists, deriving from
Goethe, Swedenborg, Whitman and others.

In my case, Private Sky and private language take us to Wittgenstein's
solipsism and his own hard-to-decipher philosophies, which have
spawned at least five waves of subsequent interpretation. Can't say
he didn't make waves. A first wave of Wittgenstein interpretation
might have sounded a death knell for metaphysics, but as we got
further into his writings we find a more mature anthropology than
British imperialism was able to cough up in the mainstream. LW is
more open to different ways of thinking because he has reneged on a
"truth model" of language in favor of a utilitarian one. It's not
that it matches reality, it's that it gets work done.

The "meaning through use" meme paves the way for "spin" in the 20th
century and the acquisition of new spin by the word "metaphysics"
itself, which Fuller begins to quantify, following the fashions of his
day, in terms of the ratio between know-how and involved materials.
As know-how increases, a less clunky and awkward approach
materializes, such that early efforts look wasteful, less ephemeral,
in hindsight. U=MP suggests this inverse relationship, or may waver
between "all M" and "all P" interpretations (an oscillation in
philosophy that's hardly new).

In billing Synergetics as a language, we get to point to its features
in terms of etymological roots. Most of us are born into cultures
that make no latent grammatical connections between "systems" and
"tetrahedron" or six-edged network of four nodes. We come from an era
that still believed in solid matter. Microbes and crystals had
disposed that Plato's forms, far from being trapped in some thought
bubble of the philosopher-geometers, had time-size frequency
tunability within the extra-optical range. Chemistry since Linus
Pauling is all about spatial geometry and the energies invested
therein.

A set of low level re-organizations at the associational (one could
say "unconscious") level is the kind of shift that sets one language
apart from another. Intuition gets a different set of keys to play
on, and the conditioned reflexes evolve differently in accordance with
the feedback cycles generated. We're encouraged to "think different"
-- and the rendering of the previous 'reality' may be experienced as a
somewhat tortuous process, per the Jungian passages re the training of
a shaman in The Magical Child (off line at the moment, will look those
up later). Hmmm, this will have to do for now:

I've you've taken some time to absorb the languages of Synergetics,
then you thinking will have been affected by some of the spin therein.
This is what we call the process of "rubbing off" whereby one system
imparts its affects to another. We needn't model this as a "falling
in to" i.e. it's quite possible to veer based on an encounter, without
getting into some mutual entanglement or long term fellow traveling.
Happens all the time.

In claiming our heritage through this line, back to the Vienna Circle
and before, we're opening the space for new configurations.

In particular, the fact that many have championed the cause of freedom
against coercive overseers who would impress slave-draftees into
military service, is a source of hope in many chapters. Relatively
recently, Muhammad Ali stood up against overseers of the Vietnam War
and served as a role model for a growing underground of anti-war youth
who are clearly not cowards nor afraid of a good / fair fight. Islam
put a damper on the lust for war then, as did Buddhism-Hinduism
through the Beatles. There's a rush to war again, with many of the
same voices that encouraged a pre-emptive attack on Iraq again at the
forefront.

I agree with Rabbi Lerner that a "Marshall Plan" for the Middle East
makes a lot more sense than allow the Alzheimers' Wing to relive some
past glory days.

We don't actually agree there's such a thing as a private language as
awareness is a self-otherness phenomenon with Universe a set of
partially overlapping relationships, characterized by communication.
"Talking to oneself" is just another language event relationship, like
"thinking".

The premise is a unity-twoness, a thinking out loud (to one's self).
Self awareness is based on experience of otherness as well. Fuller's
high level of awareness actually points to Synergetics swinging to the
other end of a spectrum, as intelligible to more humans than average
on a deep-than-average level.

His spread-frequencies approach, consciously and constantly metaphoric
(a play of analogies, of relationships), is the "drag net of the
humanities" at work (he pulls in lots of cosmic fish).

Getting the nets into such fine / pristine condition required a
champion, more than one, but Applewhite stands out as a chief
operative in this regard, as detailed in 'Cosmic Fishing'.

"had disclosed that" -- not disposed.
