Time to pick it up in the English department.
So-called English.
In the United States, we maybe should call it Amerish per Gene Fowler's suggestion.
That's with stress on the MER, as in a-MER-ish.
Rhymes with "ocean like" as in "mer-maid". Funny play on "a -MER- ican".
But then in dialect we'll get "A-merish".
Whatever "ish" -- not of great concern.
Just it's probably not English.
In any case, in the Literature department, if you're planning to do any poetic starting from Pound, and you don't follow Fuller at all, then wow you've gotta be quite the dumb ass (ala 'Idiocracy' et al).
Time to do a sweep of 'dumb ass colleges' and get them out there, the keg schools, the party downers. Got no time for the IVM? Do they make 'em any dumber then?
If you're a kegger, you might look into teaching Math. They know nothing of the IVM in math, except in niches. A place for the trully overspecialized, a kind of autism.
"Mathematician" is a likely new source of DRG codes, or do I mean DSM codes?

http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/dsm4a.htmlJudging from math lists I mean. Smart people, potentially, but dumb as sin, given their know-nothing blinders. Willful stupidity?
To counter over-specialization, we need to have STEM but not more atomic, otherwise you get the cheap "purifiers" who want to "distill" to some dead-end formula, a brain-dead brew.
We have STEM teachers but no Mathematics teachers. We consider STEM a core subject. Mathematics, as a subject, is considered too narrow and self defeating.
"Look what happened to them!" -- too many morons. No connecting the dots. No making the most of things. A breakdown. Steer clear.
We're always talking about how STEM teaching sucks, math teaching in particular.
Time to give up on "math" teachers. There's more at stake. There's language. It's Language teachers that we need. Including Literature.
Languages / Literature + STEAM where A = Anthropology. Geometry + Geography is a similar way of parsing, as Geography begets ethnicities / languages / cultures.
Could conflate Languages / Literature with A, so just STEAM. Under pressure.
