Hi,

We recently bought a gen 2 qzfm sensor. We have for the first time installed the sensor following the instruction.

the sensor is detected and displayed in the UI. When starting with "Auto start" it finishes the sequency saying that the laser is lock, but then just a few seconds later a "laser overheating" error appers and the sensor is stop.

Our lab is not temperature controlled, and it might be well above 22-25ºC.

Is this an issue for the qzfm that the lab is not temperature controlled? Or is something wrong with the sensor?

Any ideas on how to overcome this limitation are welcome.

Best regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

Please download and run the latest verison of the QZFM UI from our website and navigate to the Diagnostics Tab. Select this sensor in the drop down menu and then press the Diagnose Laser Overheat Detected button. This will run through an automatic procedure to determine if the lock setpoint parameter needs to be modified. This will likely take 1-3 minutes to complete and the sensor will reboot when it is done, avoid pressing other buttons in the UI while the procedure is running. The sensor will hopefully work properly after this. Please let me know if this problem persists.

Thanks James for the fast reply and information.

I managed to make it work with the indication provided.

Appreciate it.
