What is master-slave configuration and how do I set change assignment?

When operating more than 1 sensor, there needs to be 1 electronics module configured as a master and the remaining electronics modules configured as slaves. The master electronics module distributes the modulation signal to the slave electronics modules. To change the master-slave configuration use the "Sensor Commands" buttons (9) in the standard QZFM  Multi-Channel UI (available for download on our website here: http://quspin.com/products-qzfm/qzfm-quick-start-guide/). 

Send 113 for master configuration or 114 for slave configuration. Type the number in the field to the right of the [Load All] button and press [Load All] to send a command to all connected sensors. Or alternatively, send a command to a specific sensor by selecting it in the drop down menu and typing the command number in that corresponding field and then pressing [Load].

One of our Gen1 magnetometers (serial number QZFM-00HH) is labeled with “M” on the front panel of the QZFM electronics module (picture attached). Does this mean something?

If a sensor electronics module is labeled with an "M" on the front panel it means that this electronics was shipped in master configuration. With later revisions of gen1 and all gen1.5/gen2 sensors the master/slave configuration is re-configurable with commands 113 and 114 for master/slave respectively. QZFM-00HH has master/slave re-configuration capability.
