I set up QZ v.2.02 from my local machine (Windows 10 64bit), I also installed Java version 8 (the latest version), I followed the installation instruction carefully. I wanted to print using dot matrix, specifically I am using Epson LX-310 (Epson ESC/P 9pin V4 Class Driver).

Here is what happened, When I'm done installing all the requirement. The program initially runs perfectly, I managed to connect and set my printer using demo page (using google chrome), I tried to print first using PDF and Image From Pixel Tab, but then I tried to print using RAW (which is really I need) but unfortunately its not working.. I use the qz logs and I says that "Print job received by printer" and it was a successful printing. The data was sent to printer queue but it says that there is an error on the file sent (maybe on encoding of file that has been sent). please kindly help me with this one. coz I don't see any errors at all and I just want to print a simple data on dot matrix. Thanks

P.S so sorry on my novel story! lol I already spent days to make this thing work! :(

I'll answer this assuming you've already tried configurig your printer for pure raw mode (https://qz.io/wiki/setting-up-a-raw-printer-in-windows)
  • The LX-310 should support two programming languages, ESC/P and 2389-Plus.  Please ensure the printer is in the correct mode prior to sending the commands.  Please "Software" row on page 2-25 of the user's guide.  https://files.support.epson.com/pdf/lx300p/lx300pu1.pdf
  • Our ESC/P button on our demo uses a image command which should be removed during troubleshooting.  It's not compatible with all printers.

  • Encoding is both Java and hardware dependent.  One you have output on the printer, I would advise starting a separate topic about proper encoding.
