Hi qz-support,

With the latest version 2.1.3 the value of Trusted Field of site manager still shows "Untrusted website" after successfully complied with my company's certificate, please see attached screen shot below, does it look good?

and we don't have premium support yet.

Thanks,

Did you mean "compiled?".   There should be no reason to compile QZ Tray to replace the certificate, simply place your certificate in C:\Program Files\QZ Tray\override.crt and restart.

You may also drag-and-drop the certificate into the Site Manager dialog starting with QZ Tray 2.1.3.

Best of regards,

THANKS Tres. It's COOL that we can just drag-and-drop the certificate.  The only reason I wanted to try to compile qz is that our user can install software without doing anything else after installation. Either way the site manager will still show our website as "Untrusted", right? I don't worry to much about it right now, just want to confirm.

QZ Tray 2.1.3 has a brand-new feature which which will install it to the correct location for you on drag-and-drop, it will prompt for Administrator access.

If you want it compiled into the software, you'll need to do the following:

ant -Dauthcert.use=C:/path/to/yourcert.crt

If this has recently stopped working, please file a bug report and provide the exact steps to reproduce: https://github.com/qzind/tray/issues/new

Not anymore.  We install it in the proper location for you, you just have to restart QZ Tray afterwards.

connection errors in Firefox

If QZ Tray can't connect to Firefox that generally means the enterprise policy we install to trust the HTTPS certificate isn't being honored.  I'm not sure what would cause this on your machine, but it's probably worthy of a dedicated bug report: https://github.com/qzind/tray/issues/new

Please make sure to include your OS version, Firefox Version, Java Version, QZ Tray version in the bug report.

Edge (Version 90.0.818.62 (Official build) (64-bit)), my override.crt loaded and data printed correctly, but still shows "Untrusted website" in the Trusted field of site manager.

Our YouTube tutorials were created before this change, but we now recommend SHA512 for signing, so it may be a discrepancy between signing algorithms.   There's also a chance that -- for some unknown internal reason -- the imported certificate just isn't working with this new certificate installation technique.  If that's the case, feel free to file a bug report with steps to reproduce. https://github.com/qzind/tray/issues/new

Please make sure to include your OS version, Firefox Version, Java Version, QZ Tray version in the bug report.  This bug report will be separate from the Firefox one.

Thanks Tres!

just went through below steps and saw connection errors in Firefox, and qz was able to load override.crt and printed data correctly
1. download and install qz-tray-2.1.3.exe
2. exit automatically started qz, and then copy my override.crt to qz installation folder (C:\Program Files\QZ Tray)
3. start qz again, at this point, when I check site manager, no cert loaded yet
4. in Firefox (version 88.0.1 (64-bit)), when trying to print data see below errors:

FirefoxError.PNG
5. in Edge (Version 90.0.818.62 (Official build) (64-bit)), my override.crt loaded and data printed correctly, but still shows "Untrusted website" in the Trusted field of site manager.

Thanks a lot,

Actually, this may be a bug with how we store it.  Try to delete it and add it again.
