I am trying to print amazon shipping labels through google chrome on mac but it keeps on printing some weird html codes.
Is there any way to solve this issue?
I am using TSC D300 thermal printer.

Are you using QZ-Tray?

Vicky:

It sounds like your printer is set up as a raw device.

We don't have any TSC printers to test on, but you must have a CUPS driver to print HTML with QZ-Tray on MacOS.  This may be a driver that comes with CUPS, or it may be supplied by the vendor.

I looked for specifications for this printer, and I could not find a Mac driver (CUPS driver) for it; only windows. I did find a driver for Windows made by Seagull Scientific, but that would not help on MacOS.

I also found this guide:

I found this interesting, as it recommends using the ZEBRA driver for the TSC printer (though it is a different model TSC printer).

To confirm, your printer is a TSC D300 not a TSC P300, correct?

It's very possible that this printer is a Zebra clone, so it may understand ZPL, and it may also work with the Zebra CUPS driver.  I cannot confirm this myself, but if you care to try the Zebra CUPS driver, please inform us of your results.

I invite you to try the ZPL button at https://demo.qz.io to see if the printer understands ZPL. If it does, then the Zebra CUPS driver may work for this printer.

If you have more information you give us about the printer and its driver, that will be helpful.

Kind regards,

Conclusion:

This was not an HTML file from Amazon, but rather a ZPL file that was being sent to a raster driver in MacOS.  This resulted in the raw commands being printed to the label instead of being interpreted by the printer's firmware.

The printer is a TSC DA300, and it prints ZPL.

Solution: set up the printer as a raw printer in CUPS and send the print to that raw queue.

Great to hear! You're very welcome!

Now we know that the TSC DP300 is a ZPL printer as well. :)

Its working now after I reseted the printer and used CUPS to set it as RAW.
THANKS a lot for all your help.

It's printing numbers when you send it as raw?  Usually this happens when the byte sequence is incorrect.  If you turn the printer off then turn it back on, this will usually reset the byte order.

There is an on-line ZPL viewer here that you can use to inspect the code yourself:

Could you please send me the file that you are printing so I can inspect it?

I have set the printer to RAW and now i am not getting any codes. But the printer is printing only half the label. I tried recalibrating the printer but the issue persist.
Do you have any solution for this problem.

Is the problem with HTML or with Raw printing?

Would you mind sending me a sample Amazon label?  I will not share the information; I just want to see if it is a ZPL label or an HTML label.

If you are seeing code like ^XA^FD^BA on your labels, then you need to set the printer up as a raw device on Mac. This is ZPL code.

Sorry for the typo. My printer is TSC DA300
and I haven't actually tried using cups as I don't know much about it.
I directly downloaded the driver for the printer from TSC website and updated it in the printer and scanner settings in Mac system  preferences.

Also for printing Amazon labels directly through web should I configure my printer for raw using Cups on Mac or should I try something else?
