Dear QZ Tray Support Team,
I’m a longtime user of QZ Tray and have been working to ensure it launches reliably at system startup. During a recent audit, I discovered that QZ Tray is configured to launch from four different sources:
- Windows Startup folder
- Task Manager > Startup tab
- Task Scheduler
- Windows Registry (Run key)
This redundancy appears to be causing conflicts or unpredictable behavior during boot. I’ve experienced intermittent failures where QZ Tray doesn’t launch cleanly, or launches multiple instances.
Could you advise on the **recommended method** for ensuring QZ Tray launches reliably at startup? Should I disable all but one of these entries? If so, which one is preferred for stability and compatibility with Windows 10/11?
I appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you for your excellent work on this tool.
Best regards,

Dear QZ Tray Support Team,
One other point, the automatically start auction. In the QZ tray. In my system tray. Does not work. I have checked it and it does not produce a launch edge startup.

Hmm...Is there a chance that it was disabled in Task Manager? You may attempt to reinstall as well in case the entry is missing or invalid. On Wed, Nov 5, 2025 at 1:52 PM The Handmade Bow <geo...@thehandmadebow.com> wrote:Hi there I gave that a try and it was the the other entries. I deleted those. The only thing that was not checked is in the QC tray menu itself that says automatically start. I just checked that and I’m gonna give that a try, but do you think that might be? An issue? But I’ll tell you what before I send this I’ll do a reboot and we’ll see if that check mark does anything for us. So we’ll just set you, save you as a draft, and get back.
No. It did not launch with the reboot. Even though I have the QC tray in the start up folder as you recommended and this time I checked the automatically start. Menu item in the. Gucci tray. I had to launch it manually, which is what I usually have to do. The problem is that’s a bit inconvenient. Because I’ll start running a series of orders with Microsoft and then oops, I forgot to run QC tray and I have to close that work down. Open QC tray and then start again. I also have other related questions with the app which I love by the way. Is that often the? The default label subjection. Has to be checked again, it doesn’t stay and they. Zebra printer that I use. Is not staying either. I have to select it from the printer list every time. So. Perhaps I don’t understand. This and I’m doing something wrong. And I can use any help and guidance that you can give me.
Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
Thank you,
George
