If you have a premium license, you need to reach out to sup...@qz.io, this is a public mailing list.

At a glance, you don't mention setSignaturePromise in your email, so that might be missing.  Logs would tell us for sure if that's the problem.

Dear QZ Tray Support Team,

I am facing an issue with QZ Tray while printing barcodes from my application. Each time I initiate a print job, a popup prompt appears, requiring manual confirmation before the printing process begins. This disrupts the workflow as we need the printing to be fully automated without user intervention.

Issue Details:

  • QZ Tray Version: 2.2.4
  • Operating System: Windows
  • Browser: Chrome
  • Printer Model: TSC TE244
  • Issue: QZ Tray prompts a confirmation popup before printing, and we need it to print directly without user interaction.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Connect to QZ Tray successfully.
  2. Initiate a print job from the application.
  3. A popup appears requiring confirmation before printing.

Expected Behavior:
The print job should be sent directly to the configured printer without requiring user confirmation.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • Tried enabling trusted printing using qz.security.setCertificatePromise(...).
  • Checked qz.configs.create(...) options to allow silent printing.
  • Verified the printer is correctly configured in QZ Tray.

Could you please guide us on how to disable the popup and enable fully automated printing?

Looking forward to your support.

Best Regards,
Mohamed Imran

Mohamed,

The logs indicate you didn't set up signing:

2025-02-19T11:38:56,825 [DEBUG] Message: {"call":"printers.find","params":{},"signature":""

The documentation for this is here:

The function is setSignaturePromise.  We have examples for nearly all programming languages.

I saw this question last night and I did not understand it.

Your logs already have a self-signed certificate file that's good for 10 years.
  • If you want one that's inherently trusted: https://buy.qz.io/
  • If you want to use your own, you can do that too, just drag it into the Site Manager dialog.

Dear Tres,

Thank you for the clarification. I apologize for the oversight regarding the setSignaturePromise function.

I would appreciate it if you could please let me know where I can obtain the "digital-certificate.txt" file.

Thank you for your assistance.
