Hi,

From the support questions i understand qz does not work on Android OS chrome browser, for this to work is there any document which the qz team can provide developers like me. Does the paid version of qz has this feature? if not how much does it may take to develop as this is been asked by most customers and i think the users qz can fund this if the budget for this is known. Please let me know any other way to print to Thermal pos printer from Chrome browser (php application) running on chrome on Android OS.

thanks
Sridhar

It's only possible today through a dedicated print server.

Start with HTTP and when you get it working then you may try to install the SSL certificate.

Hi,

https://qz.io/wiki/print-server

qz.websocket.connect({host: "192.168.1.2"}); , can this host parameter take ip address of my Amazon server like 34.15x.xx.xxx?

The php website can this connect to print server (qz 2.0) installed on the amazon server?

thanks
Sridhar

I'm not sure what you're describing.  Generally speaking, the print-server would be running locally, so that you can connect it to a printer.

Hypothetically it can print to a WAN IP address, but it would not be a common need.  Usually people want to print near to themselves, over LAN.

Remember, that connect(...) is JavaScript on the mobile device sending a print request to an instance of QZ Tray.  QZ Tray talks to local printers, so the general print-server design would place QZ Tray in a nearby Wireless network with access to local printers.

I understand you would like mobile printing to work just as well as it does on the desktop, but this is not something we offer at this time and we do not yet have a roadmap for this feature.
