Dear QXmlEdit users,

The QXmlEdit snap is no longer maintained and most recently released version 0.9.16 already contains packages that have security updates. Please see the QXmlEdit Info and Download page for how to install from another source.

I am sorry to the almost 2000 current user of the QXmlEdit snap, but I am unable to continue maintaining it nor was I able to find a maintainer that would also update for security releases in packages included the snap.

If anyone is interested in becoming the QXmlEdit snap maintainer contact me. You can do this via Github. The QXmlEdit snap repository has now been archived on Github. The snap has been marked private and all channels closed. No new updates will be made nor will new installs
nor re-installing in be possible.

Sincerely,

Frederick Henderson
Former QXmlEdit Snap Maintainer

Consider displaying a snap obsoletion notice via a custom dialog or a
desktop notification.

Thanks I tried to setup a notification using notify-send for the snap but even your demo-notifications snap is not working anymore. Let me know if you get the demo snap working and I might try again to set this up.

Also, I recommend trying the custom dialog solution instead, as it will ensure the users will notice, contrary to the desktop notification that is displayed temporarily on launch.

A notification using Zenity has be added to the QXmlEdit snap that will appear when it is started warning you to switch to using QXmlEdit from another source. If you are using the snap it should be automatically updated to this new version an then you have been warned.
