Scope in text search

the text search panel has a text field called scope. Can you please explain what it's for?

Hello, 

    the option is for a simplified XPath-like expression to use as a quick filter to restrict the zone of the search.

For a real XPath search you should switch to the XPath search.

The option is documented in the user manual included in source and binary distributions in "Finding Text" paragraph.

I was not aware that a complete manual (QXmlEdit_manual.pdf) exists. My distribution ALMA Linux comes with qxmledit but the manual is not included. Just started searching after you mentioned it and found it in your code repository in the doc folder. I think it would be helpful to guys like me if you could place the manual more prominent.
