Women in the Congo Benefit

Hi again women-

Just a brief note to let y'all know about a benefit my pal Jamie has
organized for Congolese women. Everyday at least 10 or more women
experience brutal rapes by the soldiers of the government & rebel
troops. The soldiers also use chunks of wood & weapons to rape their
victims and the Congolese government is doing nothing to stop it. Sad
stuff I know. But I report this to help encourage you & anyone you
know to come to this great benefit. Here are the details:

This Thursday (April 24th) from 8pm to 2am at Plan B at 1305 SE 8th
St.
Only a $5 dollar donation and there will be bands, crafts for sale & a
raffle. All proceeds go to the V V S (Victims de Violence Sexuelle
Projet).
