Hi,

First of all I'd like to say that I really enjoy using Qwit, it's a
fantastic piece of software, and I'm sorry to see your group has been
hijacked by a spammer.

I'm using Qwit in Ubuntu 9.04, and I recently set up a dark theme for
my desktop. The problem is that the OS default font is a very light
gray color, which is also being used by Qwit to display tweets. The
background for the tweets is also a white and light gray background
making the tweets completely unreadable. Is there any way to resolve
this issue, either changing the tweet background or the font color,
short of changing my theme? (I'm completely enamored with it)

Thanks in advance!
Bryan

Hmm, I think we'll add the options to choose the background and font colors.

I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Bryan,

I'm able to change the background for the tweets in:
Options -> User interface -> Colors
(Mentions => reply messages; Common => other messages; The two colors
for each type are used alternatively while showing the tweets.)

Do you see that option too? I don't know since which release we have
that configurability.

And, thanks for all your appreciation for Qwit (though I've only added
bits and pieces).

Artem,

Looks like we already allow choosing of background colors (since r230),
but I don't know since which release. I don't think we needto/should
support configuring text color of the tweets since we only pick that off
the system style.

Oops, Roopesh is right - the feature is already there :) And maybe the
text color is also should be included (system one / custom one), just
for a case.

Hi,

Thats great news to hear that you already have this implemented.
However, I've downloaded the latest version in the downloads section:
qwit-0.10-x86.tar.bz2, released on Oct. 5, and it appears that the
user interface section isn't included in that release. Under the
options section, there are currently three tabs: General, Connection,
and Authentication. Is this User Interface section located anywhere
else, or is there a newer version of qwit available that I can use?

Thanks!
Bryan

Hi. The most feature-complete version is 1.0-alpha - try it.

Why don't you try to install the Debian package? (built from svn) [1].
I think it'll work for you.

Bryan, did you manage to get it installed and working fine?
