Can USB modem and wifi bridge co-exist?

Hi 

I haven't used my USB modem for quite some time but noticed last night that the commands are failing.

The only thing that changed is that I added the wifi bridge? (Plugged into the same raspberry pi as the USB modem)

When I unplug the USB modem and plug it back in the blue led flashes three times so it must be working.

The QSUSB (version 1.9?) interface simply gives me the error display on any command as well as when trying to get information on a device.

When typing the commands in manually at the address bar, I get {"id":"@123456","cmd":"ERROR","data":"NO REPLY","rssi":""}

I did unplug the wifi bridge but still got the same error result.

My wall switches/transmitters still work.

Any ideas on what else to do to troubleshoot why the modem no longer seem to be able to talk to the receivers?
