RX1REL switches off

Hi

I have a few RX1REL switches that have 2 problems.

1.When i switch them on they randomly switch off again after a few seconds. Also notices this to happen when it gets colder at nite.

1.I also notices that sometime for no apparent reason they will quickly switch on and off again in less than a second.

Any ideas on fix?

It sounds like the capacitor is failing inside the receivers. This could be due to Eskom load shedding or an outside load facture.

Hi Pawel

I can't say for sure unless I have it here with me. However from past experience it could be the large rectangle grey cap (X2 680nF) the one next to cap 1 or it could be cap 2 in your picture. If the problem is still present after this, the problem could be the 2 zener diodes (9V1) located under cap 2. 

Please be aware if you replace anything on the receiver  your warranty is void if the product is still under 3 years old. Judging by the rectangle cap, it's more than 3 years old already.
