Hi, I have a dimmable Quick Switch in my bathroom which has been working fine for the past couple of years,
Recently when the light is switched on the globe starts flickering.

Do you have any idea what the issue may be?

Kind regards
Jason Matthews

Good day Mr Matthews;

Thank you for contacting us.

Could you confirm which dimmer receiver you are making use of,  is it the LED or the halogen dimmer? and what is the load you are switching?

Do you notice this only when you switch the load on or is it also when it dims off?

If you switch the load on and then DIM it to a certain point i..e 50%, do you see the same problem?

Are there any extractor fans on this circuit we need to be aware of?

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi,

Changing the bulb solved the flickering problem, which has been working fine up until a few days ago.
The new problem is now when I switch the light off after a couple of minutes it switches itself back on?
Could this be due to the battery in the transmitter going flat or is it due to something else?

Regards
Jason

Hi Jason;

A battery going flat would not turn a receiver on randomly, if the LED on the transmitter flashed three times after you have pressed it then you know the battery is going flat, if it just flashed once when you press the button then it is still fine.

A receiver can only switch on if it receives a ON command from a TX, which has been linked to it - no other TX's also linked to this receiver? (you could always wipe the receivers memory to double check this by holding down the button on the receiver until the LED stays on and then re-link)  Do you perhaps have a Cloud Hub running any schedules?

Your situation is a little of a mystery as to why this would be happening, can you confirm that this particular circuit is not connected to any other circuit which may supply power to the receiver once you have switched it off?

Look forward to hearing back from you.
