I've been searching for months and checking out all the overseas ... but it seems the answer to what I need may actually be right under my nose !

Just to clarify a few things :

- The switch itself is battery driven - how long does this last?
- Do you have something for a lamp at all ?
- Is this Amazon Alex compatible?

Thanks

Good afternoon Grant;

Thank you for the communication.

Yes 99% of our switches are battery operated (CR2032 coin cell battery) and last roughly about two years based on usage but most clients obtain more.

We have designed a plug module which would be perfect for a lamp. You would plug our unit into the plug point into the wall, lamp into our unit, ensure the wall plug is on and then link the Plug-module to a transmitter of choice and/or get it online with our GSM Cloud Hub.

The Amazon Alex skills have been added but you are not able to access them though the app due to it not being available in SA but you can access them through the web. You would have to register with amazon.com, add the skills and then find the devices you have previously added to your web interface via our GSM Cloud hub.

Kind regards;

Thanks for the reply.

So, when you say transmitter of choice, you mean the switches that go on the wall ?
So, a transmitter plate 2 with one of the buttons controlling the plug point?
Am I right in saying the plug module is fundamentally a 220v relay switch in a plug point?

Regarding Alexa, I don't need the hub for that - or would I?
Are they standard 802.11 that connect to the hone network for Alexa to discover?

Good day;

Correct, transmitter of choice could be the wireless switch on the wall, or key-fob remote or combination of both. The relays can store up to 30 links so the switching configurations are endless.

Correct, we only manufacture 2, 4 and slowly phasing the 6 button switch out but yes. You could have one button linked to the plug module but to make life easier the second button can also be linked to the same plug module or to another receiver.

Correct, it is a 30A relay, down rated to 16A due to plug connections, so it is a larger relay than our "standard" s5 relay.

Regarding Alexa, yes you would require our GSM Cloud Hub, I am not familiar with your question regarding 802.11 but my programmers have advised that it does not make use of that and our GSM would be required.
