Can the Wifi bridge replace QSUSB modem?

Hi,

A bit disappointed to hear that the QSUSB modem was discontinued.

I have got several Qwikswitch devices, but also have these integrated with my HomeAssistant automation system though QSUSB. Since I do replace these units every now and then (lightning on the highveld...) I was wondering if I can get the same functionality from the Wifi bridge

Initial investigations seems not quite:

- Cloud based only (http://qwikswitch.com/doc/). Or do we have local API access like QSMobile?

- There is no more listen endpoint... so you will have to poll to get updates

- No more button presses or sensors (no listen)

Do you have any plans to provide a local API endpoint or even functionality to the cloud api (like pubnub)?

Do you have/plan to add any local API endpoint to the Wifi bridge? 

How often do you recommend/support polling the device states in the cloud? Every 10 seconds/30 seconds?
