Good Morning Marlins,
The following is a devastating update on the Segui family! In case you weren’t aware, Winston has been battling a very rare heart cancer since Christmas. The message below explains what has happened. The team will be making a donation, but we wanted to also provide the opportunity to any of you who knew and loved them over the years. Janet is the one who invited us to join in 2011 and all of their kids were on the team since they were little! The oldest three made it to their senior years, but Noah is a fantastic baseball player and wanted to devote his time to that, so the last two years they haven’t been on the team! Janet was a Rep for YEARS (With much SPIRIT!!!!!) and Winston did our website and automation. They were such a critical part of the Marlin community and we are grieving with them. (See Below)

Good Evening,
As many of you know, on Tuesday, July 21, after battling cancer for several months, Winston Segui went home to our Lord. The timing of his passing was unexpected and our thoughts and prayers are with Janet and their children. Because of the aggressive nature of his cancer and being on disability, Winston had little time to financially prepare for his passing. Unfortunately, funeral and burial expenses are exorbitant (in Maryland costs can range from $15,000 to $20,000) and several of us are hoping to raise enough money to help Janet cover the costs. We hope this will help alleviate her burdens while she and her children grieve Winston's passing.
Janet is making funeral arrangements and we hope to transfer funds to her by the end of next week.
Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and will be a significant help.
