To the Vendors, Suppliers, Customers, and Friends of Aardvark Swim & Sport,
It is with a heavy, yet full, heart that I announce the closing of Aardvark Swim & Sport. After over 30 years of running a successful and fulfilling business, I have decided that it is time for me to retire. I feel that the time is right to move on to the next phase of my life and focus on my family, health, and coaching my swimmers.
I wanted to take this moment to let you all know that I valued both our business relationships and friendships throughout these 30 years. I appreciate the trust that you have put in me and my company. I hope that you understand the seriousness with which I treated our relationships and know that the internal struggle I faced while making this decision was not one that I made easily or lightly.
Beginning immediately, we will be aligning with Cassel’s to handle all of your pending/future requests. I wholly believe in Lee Cassel and his employees, they have extensive knowledge and contacts in the swimming community and Lee has four decades of experience in the industry. Cassel's will be opening a Maryland location to accommodate all of our Rockville retail customers and teams. I know that you all will be in very capable hands with Cassel’s and I will be right there with them to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Starting December 19, 2016 we will be running extensive sales in the store. This week, EVERYTHING in the store will be 20% off, excluding close out suits and clearance items which are already fully discounted more than 20%.
I cannot thank you enough for the support and kindness you have given Aardvark and myself over these many years, it has been appreciated more than I will ever be able to fully express. I look forward to a happy and peaceful 2017.
