fidelity traced over a sub system

I am looking at optimisation for a state to state transfer of a subsystem of a Hamiltonian, with control pulses affecting the entire Hamiltonian. Does anyone know of a way to set the fidelity traced over a subsystem rather than considering state of the entire Hamiltonian?
