[53] Surah An-Najm [The Star]
Ayat 38. That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another.
Ayat 39. And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad).
Ayat 40. And that his deeds will be seen,
Ayat 41. Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense
Tafseer of Surah An-Najm (The Star) Ayat 38 to 41. Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. Here follows a series of eleven aphorisms of ancient wisdom apparently incorporated in current Semitic folklore. The first is that a man's spiritual burden—die responsibility for his sin—must be borne by himself and not by another: Cf. 6:164; 17:15 ; 35:18; 39:7. There can be no vicarious atonement. 39. That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 40. That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: The second and third aphorisms are that man must strive, or he will gain nothing; and that if he strives, the result must soon appear in sight and he will find his reward in full measure. 41. Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete;
Hadith الحدیث
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) recited the Words of Allah, the Exalted, and the Glorious, about Ibrahim (AS) who said: "O my Rubb! They have led astray many among mankind. But whosoever follows me, he verily, is of me". (14:36) and those of `Isa (Jesus) (AS) who said: "If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily, You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise". (5:118). Then he ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) raised up his hands and said, "O Allah! My Ummah, my Ummah,'' and wept; Allah, the Exalted, said: "O Jibril (Gabriel)! Go to Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) and ask him: `What makes you weep?" So Jibril came to him and asked him (the reason of his weeping) and the Messenger of Allah informed him what he had said (though Allah knew it well). Upon this Allah said: "Jibril, go to Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) and say: `Verily, We will please you with regard to your Ummah and will never displease you".

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah An-Najm Ayat 40. And that his deeds will be seen" This Hadith makes two points clear: Firstly, the kindness and mercy which the Prophet ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) had for his Ummah, a full manifestation of which will be seen on the Day of Resurrection. Secondly, the love that Allah has for His Prophet, Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH). Both these benefits will then go to the advantage of the faithful Muslims as they will be then blessed with Mercy and forgiveness of Allah. May Allah include us among them]
