Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[67] Surah Al-Mulk [The Dominion]

Ayat 22. Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism).

Tafseer of Surah 67. Al Mulk (The Dominion) Ayat 22. Is then one who walks headlong, with his face groveling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? Cf. 27:90. The man of probity is the man who walks evenly on a Straight Way , his feet guided by Allah's Light and his heart sustained by Allah's Mercy. The man who chooses evil grovels, with his face down, in paths of Darkness, stumbling on the way, and in constant distrust and fear, the fear of Evil. The two kinds of men are poles apart, although they live on the same earth, see the same Signs, and are fed with the same Mercies from Allah. Like Abraham trying to guide his unbelieving father.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Muawiyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen.''

[Al-Bukhari Book 01, Chapter 03, Hadith # 071].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mulk Ayat 22. Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)” Knowledge and understanding of Deen (religion) here stands for the understanding of the Qur'an and Hadith, religious injunctions, and knowledge of the lawful and the unlawful. This Hadith highlights the excellence of knowledge and the fact that it is a sign of Allah's Help to the person who possesses it and acts upon it.
