Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event]

Ayat 27. And those on the Right Hand, ¬ Who will be those on the Right Hand?

Ayat 28. (They will be) among thorn less lote-trees,

Ayat 29. Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another,

Ayat 30. In shade long-extended,

Ayat 31. By water flowing constantly,

Ayat 32. And fruit in plenty,

Ayat 33. Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off,

Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqiah 27 to 33. The Companions of the Right Hand, what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 28. (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, Lote trees: see 34:16. 29. Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another, Talk: some understand by this the plantain or banana tree, of which the fruit is borne in bunches, one tier above another; but the banana tree does not grow in Arabia and its ordinary Arabic name is Mawz; perhaps it is better to understand a special kind of Acacia tree, which flowers profusely, the flowers appearing in tiers one above another. 30. In shade long-extended, 31. By water flowing constantly, 32. And fruit in abundance. 33. Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, As it is not like earthly fruit, its season is not limited, nor is there any prohibition by law or custom or circumstance as to when or how it is to be consumed.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The inhabitants of Jannah will eat and drink therein, but they will not have to pass excrement, to blow their noses or to urinate. Their food will be digested producing belch which will give out a smell like that of musk. They will be inspired to declare the freedom of Allah from imperfection and proclaim His Greatness as easily as you breathe.''

[Muslim Book 40, Chapter 07, Hadith # 6800].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 33. Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off” Belching the vapors of musk means that after meals one would not feel heaviness and acidity. On the other hand, the belch will give out scented air, and the food will be digested by it. There will be no excrement or urine there. Secondly, recitation of Allah's Name will ever remain on their tongues without the least effort like the way we breathe, without any effort whatsoever. In other words the food in Jannah would be so light and fine that there would be no disagreeable urine excrement. On the other hand, there will only be a fine smell like that of musk.
