Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[67] Surah Al-Mulk [The Dominion]

Ayat 25. They say: "When will this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) come to pass? if you are telling the truth."

Ayat 26. Say (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH): "The knowledge (of its exact time) is with Allah only, and I am only a plain warner."

Tafseer of Surah 67. Al Mulk (The Dominion) Ayat 25 and 26. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? – If ye are telling the truth. The Unbelievers are skeptical, but they are answered in the next two verses. 26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public." The Judgement is certain to come. But when it will exactly come, is known to Allah alone. The Prophet's duty is to proclaim that fact openly and clearly. It is not for him to punish or to hasten the punishment of evil.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Everyone will be raised in the condition in which he dies".

[Muslim Book 40,Chapter 19, Hadith # 6878]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mulk Ayat 26. "The knowledge (of its exact time) is with Allah only, and I am only a plain warner" This Hadith signifies that if a person dies performing good deeds, he will have a good end; and the one who dies in misdeeds, he will come to a bad end. It is, therefore, necessary that one should always avoid disobedience of Divine injunctions, especially in old age and illness because one may fall in the clutches of death at any time.
