English Translation of Al-Quran
[60] Surah Al-Mumtahanah [That Which Examines]
Ayat 6. Certainly, there has been in them an excellent example (in Ibrahim AS) for you to follow, for those who look forward to (the Meeting with) Allah (for the reward from Him) and the Last Day. And whosoever turns away, then verily, Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all Praise.
Tafseer of Surah Al-Mumtahanah (That Which Examines) Ayat 6. There was indeed in them an excellent example for you to follow,- for those whose hope is in Allah and in the Last Day. But if any turn away, truly Allah is Free of all Wants, Worthy of all Praise. In them: i.e., in their attitude of prayer and reliance on Allah, and of dissociation from evil. If anyone rejects Allah's Message or Law, the loss is his own. It is not Allah Who needs him or his worship or his sacrifice or his praise. Allah is independent of all wants, and His attributes are inherently deserving of all praise, whether the wicked give such praise or not, in word or deed.
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Atiyyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Masruq and I visited Hazrat Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) and said: "O Mother of the Believers! There are two Companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) and neither of them holds back from doing good acts; but one of them hastens to break Saum (fasting) and hastens to perform the Maghreb prayer, while the other delays breaking Saum and delays performing Salat (prayer).'' She asked, "Who is the one who hastens to break Saum and perform the Maghreb prayer?'' Masruq said, "It is `Abdullah (meaning `Abdullah bin Masud).'' She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) used to do so.''
[Muslim Book 06, Chapter 09, Hadith # 2420]
