English Translation of Al-Quran

[14].Surah Ibrahim {A.S}

Ayat 7. And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: "If you give thanks (by accepting Faith and worshipping none but Allah), I will give you more (of My Blessings), but if you are thankless (i.e. disbelievers), verily! My Punishment is indeed severe."

Ayat 8. And Musa (Moses){PBUH} said: "If you disbelieve, you and all on earth together, then verily! Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Owner of all Praise."

Tafseer Surah Ibrahim [A.S] Ayat 07 & 08. And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If ye are grateful, I will add more (favor’s) unto you; But if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed." 8. And Moses said: "If ye show ingratitude, ye and all on earth together, yet is Allah free of all wants, worthy of all praise. Ingratitude not only in feeling or words, but in disobedience, and willful rejection and rebellion. If the whole of you band together against Allah, you do not detract from Allah's power one atom, because Allah does not depend upon you for anything, and His goodness and righteousness and praise worthiness cannot be called into question by your contumacy. Cf. 22:64, To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: for verily Allah,- He is free of all wants, Worthy of all Praise. Each of the verses 22:61 -63 mentioned two attributes of Allah with reference to the contents of that verse. This verse now sums up the whole argument, and the two attributes with which it closes sum up the idea by which we can understand Allah's goodness. Allah's loving kindness and mercies are not like those of human creatures who all depend upon one another, and often expect some kindness or recognition in return. Allah is above all wants and depends in no way whatever on His creatures. His mercies have therefore a special quality, which we cannot describe except by gratefully singing the praises of Allah.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah cid:BE2C818D6D0C4A568C1D628916E0CAD5@gmail[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah, the Exalted, and Glorious, said; 'O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any man of you, that would not increase My domain a thing. O My slaves, were the first of you, and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any man of you, that would not decrease My domain in a thing.''.

[Muslim Book 032, Chapter 13, Hadith # 6246].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ibrahim {A.S} Ayat 08. "If you disbelieve, you and all on earth together, then verily! Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Owner of all Praise." This Hadith mentions the Power and Majesty of Allah and stresses that one should supplicate Allah for everything that one needs. From guidance to sustenance, the treasures of everything are with Him - the treasures which are unlimited and any withdrawal from them does not make any reduction in them. Similar is the case of His Sovereignty; it is not affected even if the whole universe supports or opposes them. Thus, it is in the interest of man that he should dedicate himself entirely to Allah and beg all his needs from Him and Him Alone.
