10:99 Had your Lord wished, the whole of mankind would have believed in Him. (Muhammad), do you force people to have faith?

10:99
Had your Lord willed, all the people on earth would have believed, all of them entirely. Is it, then, up to you [Prophet] to compel People to believe?
وَلَو شاءَ رَبُّكَ لَـٔامَنَ مَن فِى الأَرضِ كُلُّهُم جَميعًا أَفَأَنتَ تُكرِهُ النّاسَ حَتّىٰ يَكونوا مُؤمِنينَ

Let's look into the occurrences of the root کره (compel) in the Quran. There are 41occurrences (alquran.eu)

Some commentators who idiolized Muhammad have denied that 10:99 is addressed to Muhammad. The idolization of Muhammad has a direct evil effect on the world. On October 16, a 47-year-old French teacher, Samuel Paty was killed and beheaded for showing cartoons of Muhammad in a class on free speech.

The following is from The Meaning of the Qur'an(Tafhim al-Qur'an) by Abul Ala Maududi

This does not at all mean that the Holy Prophet desired to force people to become believers, and that Allah was forbidding him to do this. In fact, the Qur'an has here adopted the same method of admonishing the people that it has adopted at many other places, that is, though the words have apparently been addressed to the person of the Holy Prophet, in fact, these have been addressed to the people. The implication is this: "O people! Our Messenger has made the distinction between the Guidance and deviation quite clear and plain by argument and pleading. Now, therefore, it is for you to believe or not to believe in the Guidance. If you accept that someone should force you to adopt the Right Way, you should know that this `duty' has not been assigned to Our Prophet. Had Allah willed this, He could have done it Himself: then there would have been no need of sending any Prophet to you."

The word انت (you) occurs in the Quran 81 times. I have listed those occurrences that refer to God as well as those that refer to Muhammad.

164 is the numerical value of my first name and 41 is the frequency of the root word کره in the Quran. The 41st occurrence is in 61:9 and 61:9 is 109:9 in the chronological Quran so this once again underlines the significance of 10:99
