Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[63] Surah Al-Munafiqun [The Hypocrites]

Ayat 11. And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time (death) comes. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Munafiqun Ayat 11. But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do. When our limited period of probation is over, we cannot justly ask for more time, nor will more time be given to us then. Procrastination is itself a fault, and Allah knows every hidden thought and motive in our minds.

*This is the last Ayats of the 63rd Surah of Al-Quran the Al-Juma’ah which contains 11 Ayats, Insha Allah from tomorrow the 64th Surah of Al-Quran will start.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor. But when He seizes him, He does not let him escape.'' Then he [SAWW](PBUH) recited, "Such is the Seizure of your Rubb when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe". (11:102).

[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 208].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Munafiqun Ayat 11. “And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time (death) comes" This Hadith also highlights that One should not take the respite for exemption because no one knows when respite granted by Him will come to an end and punishment will follow.
