[64] Surah At-Taghabun [Mutual Loss and Gain]
Ayat 11. No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainment)] of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart [to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainment)], and Allah is the All-Knower of everything.
Tafseer of Surah Al Taghabun Ayat 11. No kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of Allah. and if anyone believes in Allah, (Allah) guides his heart (aright): for Allah knows all things. What we consider calamities may be blessings in disguise. Pain in the body is often a signal of something wrong, which we can cure by remedial measures. So, in the moral and spiritual world, we should in all circumstances hold firmly to the faith that nothing happens without Allah's knowledge and leave; and therefore, there must be some justice and wisdom according to His great universal Plan. Our duty is to find out our own shortcomings and remedy them. If we try to do so in all sincerity of heart, Allah will give us guidance.
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Saeed & Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience".
[Al-Bukhari Book 07, Chapter 70, Hadith # 545]
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah At-Taghabun Ayat 11. No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainment)] of Allah" This Hadith mentions the special Grace and Mercy of Allah for the Muslims. It relates how Allah turns the hardships and troubles suffered by a Muslim into a means of expiation for his sins. But this is only possible if the believer exercises patience. However, if he starts wailing instead of showing patience then beside suffering hardships, he would be deprived of the reward which lies in bearing them patiently. Thus, he shall have to take the burden of additional sins also.
