Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[65] Surah At-Talaq [The Divorce]

Ayat 11. (And has also sent to you) a Messenger (Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH), who recites to you the Verses of Allah (the Qur’an) containing clear explanations, that He may take out, those who believe and do righteous good deeds from the darkness (of polytheism and disbelief) to the light (of Monotheism and true Faith). And whosoever believes in Allah and performs righteous good deeds, He will admit him into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. Allah has indeed granted for him an excellent provision.

Tafseer of Surah At-Talaq 11. A Messenger, who rehearses to you the Signs of Allah containing clear explanations, that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light. And those who believe in Allah and work righteousness, He will admit to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein forever: Allah has indeed granted for them a most excellent Provision. Cf. 24:40: the unbelievers' state is "like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billows topped by billows, topped by dark clouds; depths of darkness, one above another." Cf. 2:257: "Allah is the Protector of those who have Faith: from the depths of darkness, He will lead them forth into light."

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Once the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) stood over one of the high mountains of Medina and then said (to the people), "Do you see what I see?" They said, "No." He said, "I see 'fitnah' afflictions (misery & distress) falling among your houses as rain drops fall."

[Bukhari]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah At-Talaq [The Divorce] Ayat 11. “(And has also sent to you) a Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH), who recites to you the Verses of Allah (the Qur’an) containing clear explanations, that He may take out” This Hadith also reveals one of the prophecies of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) a very important sign of the nearness of the Day of Judgement has been mentioned: 'fitnah' afflictions, misfortune (misery & distress) appear every now and then like falling rain drops. The affairs of the world will be in the hands of wicked and undeserving people. The sinners and wicked people will become the leaders of the world. The preaching pulpits would also be occupied by people who would be greedy and ignorant. They will be devoid of piety and abstinence.
