Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[55] Surah Ar-Rahman [The Most Gracious]

Ayat 60. Is there any reward for good other than good?

Ayat 61. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Tafseer of Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 60. Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good? This is the summing up of all the symbolism used to express the Fruit of Goodness or Good. The symbolism must necessarily resort to comparative terms, to subjective ideas of Bliss. But the fullest expression can only be given in abstract terms: "Is there any reward for Good—other than Good?" Can anything express it better? 61. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “If anyone calls others to follow right guidance, his reward will be equivalent to those who follow him (in righteousness) without their reward being diminished in any respect, and if anyone invites others to follow error, the sin, will be equivalent to that of the people who follow him (in sinfulness) without their sins being diminished in any respect"

[Muslim Book 06, Chapter 34, Hadith # 6470]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 60. Is there any reward for good other than good?" Invitation' and `Call' stand to mean here that someone induces others to virtue or seduces to sin by means of his speech or action. We come to know from this Hadith that one who becomes a medium for either of them is given a reward or punishment respectively by Allah (SWT).
