السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran
[68] Surah Al-Qalam [The Pen]
Ayat 49. Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him (Prophet Yunus AS), he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the shore, while he was to be blamed.
Ayat 50. But his Lord chose him and made him righteous.
Tafseer of Surah Al-Qalam (The Pen) Ayat 49 and 50. Thus did his Lord choose him and make him of the Company of the Righteous. Jonah was chosen by Allah's Grace and Mercy to be Allah's Prophet to Nineveh . If in his human frailty he lost a little patience, he suffered his punishment, but his true and sincere repentance and recognition of Allah's goodness and mercy restored him from his physical and mental distress, and from the obscuration of the spiritual Light in him. Cf. 4:69, In the beautiful Fellowship of the Righteous there is room for all, of every grade of spiritual advancement, from the highest to the most ordinary. But, as in democratic politics every citizen's right and status have complete recognition, so, in the spiritual Fellowship, the badge of Righteousness is the bond, even though there may be higher degrees of knowledge or experience.
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah has divided mercy into one hundred parts; and He retained with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent down to earth one part. Through this one-part creatures deal with one another with compassion, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it".
[Muslim Book 037, Chapter 04, Hadith # 6629].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qalam Ayat 49. Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him (Prophet Yunus AS), he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him)" 1. We learn from this Hadith that kind and compassionate treatment is liked by Allah and is in fact His Blessing and Benevolence. This is the reason He has given a part of it to His creatures, and a person who is so hard-hearted, that he is not even aware of it has a defect which is extremely displeasing to Allah. Moreover, it is a sign that such a person is deprived of Divine blessing and mercy.
2. On the Day of Resurrection, Almighty Allah will bestow upon the believers hundred mercies. This news has great hopes and joy for His slaves.
