Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[61] Surah As-Saff [The Rows]

Ayat 10. O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.

Ayat 11.  That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!

Tafseer of Surah As-Saff (The Rows) Ayat 10. O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? Tijarah: bargain, trade, traffic, transaction: something given or done, in return for something which we desire to get. What we give or do on our part is described in verse 11 below, and what we get is described in verse 12. It is truly a wonderful bargain: what we are asked to give is so little; what we are promised in return is so much. There comes Allah's unbounded Bounty and Munificence. Cf. also 9:111, where the bargain is stated in another way. Ayat 11. That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! It would indeed be a great and wonderful bargain to give so little and get so much, if we only knew and understood the comparative value of things-die sacrifice of our fleeting advantages for forgiveness, the love of Allah, and eternal bliss.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) came out during the night and observed (TARAWEEH) prayer in the mosque and some of the people prayed along with him. When it was morning, the people talked about this and so a large number of people gathered there. The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) went out for the second night, and they (the people) prayed along with him. When it was morning, the people began to talk about it. So, the mosque thronged with people on the third night. He (the Holy Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) ) came out and they prayed along with him. When it was the fourth night, the mosque was filled to its utmost capacity but the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) did not come out. Some people among them cried:" Prayer." But the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) did not come to them till he came out for the morning prayer. When he had completed the morning prayer, he turned his face to the people and recited Tashahhud (I bear testimony that there is no god but Allah and I bear testimony that Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH)  is His Messenger) and then said: Your affair was not hidden from me in the night, but I was afraid that (my observing prayer continuously) might make the night (TARAWEEH) prayer obligatory for you and you might be unable to perform it.

[Muslim Book 004, Chapter 117 Hadith Number 1667].

Lesson :.It is best to keep the priorities of things mentioned in the Hadith as one gets the reward of following the Sunnah remembrance of Allah day and night ".
