English Translation of Al-Quran
[74] Surah Al-Mudassir [The One Enveloped]
Ayat 26. I will cast him into Hell-fire
Ayat 27. And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is?
Ayat 28. It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)!
Ayat 29. Burning the skins!
Ayat 30. Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell).
Tafseer of Surah Al- Mudassir Ayat 26 to 30. Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! The Sinner's perversity can only end in the Fire of Punishment It enters his very being. See next note. 27. And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? 28. Naught doth it permits to endure, and naught doth it leaves alone! He is in a state in which he neither lives nor dies (87:13). Looked at in another way, the things that in a good man are meant to last and grow, are for the sinner destroyed, and no part of his nature is left untouched. The brightness of his very manhood is darkened and extinguished by sin. 29. Darkening and changing the colour of man! 30. Over it is Nineteen. The figure nineteen refers to angels appointed to guard Hell.
Hadith الحدیث
English Translation of Hadith ﷺ
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) recited, "That Day it (the earth) will reveal its news (about all that happened over it of good or evil).'' (99:4). Then he ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) inquired, "Do you know what its news are?'' He was told: "Allah and His Messenger know better". He said, "Its news is that it shall bear witness against every slave man and woman they did on its back. It will say: `You did this and this on such and such day.' Those will be its news.''
[At-Tirmidhi, Hadith # 2429]
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mudassir Ayat 28. It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! It has a stern warning for people that however they may try to hide their sins from others, they will not be able to save themselves from Allah and His system of accountability. This Hadith makes evident the perfect Omnipotence of Allah by telling us that He will bestow power of speech on the earth and it will bear witness to the acts committed on its surface. It’s very easy for us modern humans to understand with technology at its peak, as Hadith says `"You did this and this on such and such day". recording of each action via CCTV and other sources of surveillance Camera recording, each and every move made by us, the earth bears witness against us. It will say: `You did this and this on such and such day.
