English Translation of Al-Quran
[17].Surah Al-Isra' [The Journey By Night] also known as Surah Bani Israel [The Children of Israel]
Ayat 71. (And remember) the Day when We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imam [their Prophets, or their records of good and bad deeds, or their Holy Books like the Qur'an, the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), etc.]. So whosoever is given his record in his right hand, such will read their records, and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least.
Tafseer of Surah Al Isra' (Bani Israel) Ayat 71. One day We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imams: those who are given their record in their right hand will read it (with pleasure), and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least. I have discussed various meanings of Imam in 2:124. And remember that Abraham PBUH was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations. "He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers." Kalimat literally "words": here used in the sense of Allah's Will or Decree or Purpose. This verse may be taken to be the sum of the verses following. In everything Abraham PBUH fulfilled Allah's wish: he purified Allah's house; he built the sacred refuge of the Kab’ah; he submitted his will to Allah's, and thus became the type of Islam. He was promised the leadership of the world; he pleaded for his progeny, and his prayer was granted, with the limitation that if his progeny was false to Allah, Allah's promise did not reach the people who proved themselves false. What is the meaning here? The Commentators are divided. Some understand the meaning to be that each People or Group will appear with its Leader, who will bear witness to its virtues or sins: Cf. 16:84. Another view is that the Imam is their revelation, their Book. A third is that the Imam is the record of deeds spoken of in the next clause. I prefer the first. Literally, by the value of a fatil. a small skin in the cleft of a date stone: this has no value.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) ! Who is the most honorable amongst mankind?'' He
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The most honorable of them is one who is the most pious of them.'' They said, "We are not asking about this". He said, "Then, the most honorable of men was Yusuf PBUH (Joseph), the Prophet of Allah, the son of Allah's Prophet, who was the son of the Prophet of Allah, who was the son of the Khalil of Allah (i.e., Ibrahim (PBUH))' They said, "We are not asking you about this.'' He enquired, "Are you then asking me about the classes of the Arabs? The best of them in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance are the best of them in Islam, provided they comprehend the religious knowledge".
[Muslim Book 30, Chapter 08, Hadith # 5679].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 71. the Day when We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imam” We come to know from this Hadith that the families which enjoyed popularity and prestige for their eminent qualities (like generosity, chivalry, honesty, etc.) in the pre-Islamic period were also credited for these values after their acceptance of Islam. But now their respect was qualified with their religious knowledge and practice. Their capabilities, self-respect and other qualities were turned towards a different direction. These qualities which were previously used for paganism were now devoted for Islam.
