Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[43]. Surah Al Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments)

Ayat 39. It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah’s remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment.

Ayat 40. Can you (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error?

Tafseer of Al Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments) Ayat 39. All partners in evil will certainly share in the punishment, but that is no consolation to any individual soul. Evil desires the evil of others, but that does not diminish its own torment, or get rid of the personal responsibility of each individual soul. Ayat 40. 4643 Cf. 30:52-53. The evil go headlong into sin, and sink deeper and deeper until their spiritual faculties are deadened, and no outside help can bring them back. Allah's grace they have rejected. There is hope for a person who wanders in quest of truth, and even for one who wanders through mistake or by weakness of will. But there is none for one who, by deliberate choice, plunges into "manifest error", i.e., error which anyone can see.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: You indulge in (bad) actions which are more insignificant to you than a hair while we considered them at the time of Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) to be great destroying sins".

[Al-Bukhari 08, Chapter 76, Hadith # 499].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al Zukhruf Ayat 40. Can you (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? The less fear of Allah, one has the more disobedient he becomes to Him. As the fear of Allah decreases, one becomes bolder in committing sins. As the Companions of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) were intensely fearful of Allah, they were afraid of committing even very minor sins.
