[24].Surah An-Nur [The Light]
Ayat 30. Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do.
Tafseer Surah An-Nur Ayat 30. Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. The rule of modesty applies to men as well as women. A brazen stare by a man at a woman (or even at a man) is a breach of refined manners. Where the main issue concerned is good social life, modesty is not only "good form": it is not only to guard the weaker woman, but also to guard the spiritual good of the stronger men.
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "A man must not look at a man's private parts nor must a woman look at a woman's private
parts; neither should two men lie naked under one cover, nor should two women lie naked under the same cover.''
[Muslim Book 03, Chapter 16, Hadith # 667].
Lesson : It's Satan's agenda to uncover human's private parts so it looks close to animals and loses its place as the best creature ever created by Allah. This Hadith tells us how Islam has closed all doors of immodesty and obscenity. When Islam does not allow a man to sleep without any clothes on with another man, and also does not permit a woman to sleep without any clothes on with another woman, how can it possibly let the gents and ladies mix freely? Free mixing of men and women is a common evil in the West and is now being projected through television in Muslim countries. May Allah guide Muslims to the Straight Path!
