Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran

[55] Surah Ar-Rahman [The Most Gracious]

Ayat 35. There will be sent against you both, smokeless flames of fire and (molten) brass, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.

Ayat 36. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Ayat 37. Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes rosy or red like red-oil, or red hide.

Ayat 38. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Tafseer of Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 35 to 38. On you will be sent (O ye evil one’s twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defense will ye have: The Dual is with reference to the two worlds explained earlier. We now come to the terrors of the Judgement on the evil ones. 36. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny? Here and in some of the verses that follow, (verses 40, 42, and 45 below), the refrain applies with an ironical meaning. It is as if it was said: 'You used to laugh at Revelation, and at the warnings which were given for your own benefit in order to draw you to repentance and Allah's Mercy; what do you find now? Is not all that was said to you true?' To reject Allah's Law is in itself to deny Allah's Mercies. 37. When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment: Melting away like grease or ointment. The red color will be due to the flames and the heat. The whole of the world as we know it now will dissolve. 38. Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "It is from the excellence of (a believer's) Islam that he should shun that which is of no concern to him".

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2317].

Lesson: This Hadith lays down a very important principle that one should avoid senseless talk and actions. If one acts upon this principle, he can save himself from many sins and evils.
