English Translation of Al-Quran
[21].Al-Anbiya' [The Prophets]
Ayat 7. And We sent not before you (O Muhammed
[SAWW](PBUH) ) but men to whom We inspired, so ask the people of the Reminder [Scriptures - the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)] if you do not know.
Ayat 8. And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals,
Ayat 9. Then We fulfilled to them the promise, and We saved them and those whom We willed, but We destroyed Al-Musrifun (i.e. extravagant in oppression, polytheism and in sin).
Tafseer Surah Al-Anbiya Ayat 7 to 9 Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realize this not, ask of those who possess the Message. See 16:43 This answers the Unbelievers' taunt, "he is just a man like ourselves!" True, but all messengers sent by Allah were men, not angels or another kind of beings, who could not understand men or whom men could not understand. Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. As men they were subject to the laws governing the physical bodies of men. They ate and drank, and their bodies perished in death (Cf. 7:148 and 25:7). In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds. But, however difficult (or impossible) their mission may have appeared to them, or to the world at first, they won through eventually, even those who seemed to have been defeated. Examples are given in the latter part of this Surah, especially in 21:51 -93. They were delivered from the Wrath which overtook the Unbelievers, as were those with them who accepted Allah's Message and placed themselves in conformity with His Will and Plan. That is the meaning of "whom We pleased"

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx.)
[Al-Bukhari Volume 2, Book 25, Number 579]
The Purpose of Zakat-ul-Fitr (Sadaqat-ul-Fitr) Every Muslim is required to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr at the conclusion of the month of Ramadan as a token of thankfulness to Allah (SWT) for having enabled him to observe fasts. Its purpose is to purify those who fast from any indecent act or speech and to help the poor and needy. In addition, it provides for the needs of the poor and the indigent and relieves them from having to ask others for charity on the day of `Eid. The Prophet,
[SAWW](PBUH) said, “Fulfill their need on this day (i.e., the day of Eid).
