English Translation of Al-Quran
[55] Surah Ar-Rahman [The Most Gracious]
Ayat 56. Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.
Ayat 57. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
Ayat 58. (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral.
Ayat 59. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
Tafseer of Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 56. In them will be Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched; See Ayat 44:54. Cf. 37:48. Their purity is the feature chiefly symbolized. 57. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 58. Like unto Rubies and coral. Delicate pink, with reference to their complexions and their beauty of form. The gems also indicate their worth and dignity. 59. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?.
Hadith الحدیث
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The world is but a (quick passing) enjoyment; and the best enjoyment of the world is a pious and virtuous woman".
[Muslim Book # 08, Chapter 37, Hadith # 3465].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 56. Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands” This Hadith mentions the qualities of a virtuous woman. When her husband looks at her, she pleases him; when he orders her, she obeys him; and when he is absent, she guards herself (chastity) and the property of her husband. (Abu Dawud and Nasa'i). This Hadith stresses the fact that if one wants success in this world and the Hereafter, he should select a pious wife. Rather than going after her beauty, lineage and wealth, one should give preference to her Faith over all other considerations. If he chooses a woman who is faithful to her Deen and strictly adheres to the Shari`ah, she would be a source of blessing for him in this life and the Hereafter.
