Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran
[69] Surah Al-Haqqah [The Sure Reality]
Ayat 38. So, I swear by whatsoever you see,
Ayat 39. And by whatsoever you see not, Ayat
Ayat 40. That this is verily the word of an honored Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) which he has brought from Allah].
Tafseer of Surah Al-Haqqah Ayat 38. So, I do call to witness what ye see, this is an adjuration in the same form as that which occurs in 56:75, 70:40, 90:1, and elsewhere. Allah's Word is the quintessence of Truth. But what if someone doubts whether a particular message is Allah's Word communicated through His Messenger, or merely an imaginary tale presented by a poet, or a soothsayer's vain prophecy? Then we have to examine it in the light of our highest spiritual faculties. The witness to that Word is what we know in the visible world, in which falsehood in the long run gives place to truth, and what we know in the invisible world, through our highest spiritual faculties. We are asked to examine and test it in both these ways. 39. And what ye see not, 40. That this is verily the word of an honored messenger; Honored messenger: one that is worthy of honour on account of the purity of his life, and may be relied upon not to invent things but to give the true inner experiences of his soul in Revelation.
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, to Jibril (Gabriel), "What prevents you from visiting us more frequently?'' Thereupon was revealed the Ayah: "(The angels say:) `And we (angels) descend not except by the Command of your Rubb. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between those two". (19:64)
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 255]
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Haqqah Ayat 40. That this is verily the word of an honored Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) which he has brought from Allah]" This Hadith tells us about the Prophet's desire for meeting angel Jibril (Gabriel) to have that knowledge which was revealed to him by means of Wahy (Revelation). It also tells us that angels descend to earth for certain missions by the Command of Allah. They have no say of their own in any matter. It also indicates that it is permissible to inquire about Muslim brothers after a long period of time as this is a sign of true love.
