English Translation of Al-Quran

[64] Surah At-Taghabun [Mutual Loss and Gain]

Ayat 4. He knows what is in the heavens and on earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. And Allah is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of all humans).

Tafseer of Surah Al Taghabun Ayat 4. He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, Allah knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts. Not only does He create and develop and sustain all things; but all thoughts, motives, feelings, ideas, and events are known to Him. Therefore, we must not imagine that, if some evil seems to go unpunished, it is not known to Him or has escaped His notice. His Plan is wise and good in its fullest compass: sometimes we do not see its wisdom and goodness because we see only a broken fragment of it, as our own intelligence is narrow.

Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ  [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "He who is asked about knowledge (of religion or guidance) and conceals it, will be bridled with a bridle of fire on the Day of Resurrection (and dealt harshly).''

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah At-Taghabun Ayat 04 “He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. And Allah is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts”. We learn from this Hadith that to withhold guidance in the matter of religion from anybody who seeks it, is a grave sin which is threatened with Hell. Unfortunately, the religious scholars who are shackled in religious prejudices and terribly lack interest in juristic matters have developed a habit of concealing religious knowledge from people. In fact, this grave sin has become so alarming that any further delay to eradicate it will prove ruinous for us. May Allah grant us true guidance.
