English Translation of Al-Quran

[11] Surah Hud (PBUH) [Hud]

Ayat 20. By no means will they escape (from Allah’s Torment) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their torment will be doubled! They could not bear to hear (the preachers of the truth) and they used not to see (the truth because of their severe aversion, inspite of the fact that they had the sense of hearing and sight).

Ayat 21. They are those who have lost their ownselves, and their invented false deities will vanish from them.

Ayat 22. Certainly, they are those who will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter.

Tafseer of Surah Hud (PBUH) Ayat 20. They will in no wise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah. Their penalty(1515) will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see! 1515 Cf. 7:38 . In this context, it is implied that they committed a twofold wrong: (1) in inventing falsehoods against Allah, which deadened their own soul, and (2) in leading others astray or hindering them from Allah's path. Thus they lost the faculty of hearing, which they might have used to hear the Word of Allah, and they blinded the faculty of sight by shutting out Allah's light, (see also 25:69 and 33:68). 21. They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch! 22. Without a doubt, these are the very ones who will lose most in the Hereafter!

Hadith

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Seven people Allah will give them His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but the Shade of His Throne (i.e., on the Day of Resurrection): And they are: a just ruler; a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom an extremely beautiful woman seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer and) says: `I fear Allah'; a man who gives in charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the left hand does not know what the right has given; and a man who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes become tearful".

[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 82, Hadith # 798].

Lesson : This Hadith highlights the merits of weeping for fear of Allah. The fear of Allah keeps one away from disobedience of Allah, the reward of which in the Hereafter is Jannah - a world which abounds in the Bounties and Pleasure of Allah.
