[66] Surah At-Tahrim [The Prohibition]
Ayat 6. O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angel’s stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded.
Ayat 7. (It will be said in the Hereafter) O you who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism)! Make no excuses this Day! You are being requited only for what you used to do.
Tafseer of Surah 6. O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and)severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded. Note how we have been gradually led up in admonition from two Consorts to all consorts, to all women, to all Believers, and to all men and women including Unbelievers. We must carefully guard not only our own conduct, but the conduct of our families, and of all who are near and dear to us. For the issues are most serious, and the consequences of a fall are most terrible. A Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones. Cf. 2:24. This is a terrible Fire: not merely like the physical fire which burns wood or charcoal or substances like that, and consumes them. This spiritual Fire will have for its fuel men who do wrong and are as hardhearted as stones, or stone Idols as symbolic of all the unbending Falsehoods in life. Cf. 74:31. We think of angelic nature as gentle and beautiful, but in another aspect, perfection includes justice, fidelity, discipline, and the firm execution of duty according to lawful Commands. So, in the attributes of Allah Himself, Justice and Mercy, Kindness and Correction are not contradictory but complementary. An earthly ruler will be unkind to his loyal subjects if he does not punish evildoers. 7. (They will say), "O ye Unbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! Ye are being but requited for all that ye did!" 'This is no hardship or injustice imposed on you. It is all but the fruit of your own deeds; the result of your own deliberate choice.'
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When this Verse was revealed: "And warn your tribe (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) of near kindred". (26:214) Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) called the Quraish; when they gathered, he said to them: "O sons of `Abd Shams; O sons of Kaab bin Lu'ai, rescue yourselves from the Fire! O sons of Murrah bin Kaab, rescue yourselves from the Fire! O sons of `Abd Manaf, rescue yourselves from the Fire! O sons of `Abdul-Muttalib, rescue yourselves from the Fire! O Fatimah, rescue yourself from the Fire, for I have no power (to protect you) from Allah in anything except that I would sustain a relationship with you".
[Muslim Book 01, Chapter 87, Hadith # 399].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah At-Tahrim [The Prohibition] Ayat 06. “O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones"
1. This Hadith tells us that lineage in the Hereafter will not help anybody. So much so that even one's relationship with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (PBUH) shall not carry any weight on that day. The only thing that will then help in salvation will be one's good deeds. People for whom the Prophet ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) and pious men will intercede will be believers with some sins in their account and not the disbelievers devoid of Faith and good actions. Neither will anybody intercede for the infidels, nor will the infidels find salvation. 2. In preaching religion, priority must be given to one's own close relatives. They deserve it more than anyone else, and for this reason Divine injunctions should be first of all conveyed to them. 3. Even if a Muslim's relatives are pagans and polytheists, their rights of kinsmen and the demands of "maintaining the ties of kinship'' enjoined by Islam must be fulfilled. The first and foremost demand of their rights is that they should be invited to the right path so that they will be saved from Hell-fire.
