Al-Quran القرأن

English Translation of Al-Quran
[71] Surah Nuh [Noah]
Ayat 13. What is the matter with you, [that you fear not Allah (His punishment), and] you hope not for reward (from Allah or you believe not in His Oneness).
Ayat 14. While He has created you in (different) stages [i.e. first Nutfah, then 'Alaqah and then Mudghah, see (V.23:13,14) the Qur’an].
Ayat 15. See you not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
Ayat 16. And has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?
Tafseer of Surah Nuh Ayat 13 to 16. "´What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah, an alternative translation would be "that ye fear Allah's Message", i.e., why don't you fear Allah's Majesty, His greatness, and consequent punishment for your sinfulness; and hope for His mercy, kindness, and reward for your faith and good deeds? The words of the verse contain the twin strands—fear and hope simultaneously. 14. "Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages? The meaning here may be even wider. Man in his various states exhibits various wonderful qualities or capacities, mental and spiritual, that may be compared with the wonderful workings of nature on the earth and in the heavens. Will he not then be grateful for these Mercies and turn to Allah, Who created all these marvels? 15. "See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another. "And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? where the sun is referred to as the glorious Lamp of the heavens: "Blessed is He Who made the Constellations in the skies, and placed therein a lamp, and a moon giving light.".
Hadith الحدیث

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Al-Mustaurad bin Shaddad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "This world (i.e., its pleasures and duration) in comparison with the Hereafter is (similar to the amount of water) one gets when he puts his finger in the sea. Let him then see what it returns with".
[Muslim Book , Chapter , Hadith # 6843]
Lesson: This Hadith shows the value of the Hereafter and its blessings compared to the worldly life. The proportion between the two is that the former is like an ocean while the latter is like the proportion of water left on one's finger when dipped in the sea!.
