Assalmualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Regarding the earlier request from your honourable self about expressing a view concerning the status of the translation of the Qur’an Kareem by Muhammad As’ad accompanied by its transliteration.

The General Department for Research, Writing and Translation of the Islamic Research Academy hereby expresses the view that the above-mentioned translation does not contain anything that conflicts or contradicts the established Islamic beliefs and principles, and there is no barrier from gaining knowledgeable benefit from it due to its general benefit to all Muslims.

This (decree is issued) without the least responsibility upon al-Azhar with regards to the rights of the reader or the translator.
